Cassidy Turley Strengthens East Bay Presence with Addition of Whiff Collins and Five New Members from MCC Realty Group

Cassidy Turley has announced the expansion of its Walnut Creek office with the addition of Whiff Collins and five other professionals from MCC Realty Group’s brokerage division: Dan Moylan, Tim Hogan, Dean Panfili, Betsy Zimmermann, and Zachary Anderson. Whiff Collins will take on the role of Managing Partner in a new Walnut Creek location scheduled to open in late November at Gateway Centre at 1850 Mt. Diablo Boulevard. MCC Realty Group’s property management division will remain in Walnut Creek and operate as a separate entity.

Mr. Collins is a 34-year veteran of the East Bay commercial real estate market having started his career with McMasters & Westland in 1978. In 1998, subsequent to TRI’s acquisition of McMasters & Westland, Whiff joined Cushman & Wakefield as an Executive Director where he received numerous client service awards. In 2001, Mr. Collins cofounded MCC Realty Group, Inc.

Dan Moylan, Tim Hogan and Dean Panfili, all veteran leasing/sales professionals, join the firm as Vice President, Betsy Zimmermann as Associate, and Zachary Anderson as Market Research Analyst.

MCC Realty’s brokerage division currently represents over one million square feet of property on behalf of landlords in addition to their many tenant clients. Three of their most high profile properties are Treat Towers, a two-building Class A high rise project in Walnut Creek totaling ±374,00 square feet; Canyon Commons, a 4-story Class A building in San Ramon totaling ±79,000 square feet and; Galaxy Office Park, a premier Class A office building in Concord that totals ±77,000 square feet.

Mr. Moylan has been part of the leasing and sales division at MCC Realty Group since June 2002. As a real estate broker for over 29 years, he is experienced in representing both Landlords and Tenants, Sellers and Buyers. He has also served as a Senior Property Manager responsible for the day to day operations of a 1,000,000 square foot portfolio of commercial, industrial and retail property.

Mr. Hogan joined MCC Realty Group in 2003 and is actively involved with project leasing, tenant representation and is currently working on projects in excess of 550,000 square feet and has successfully completed over 300 transactions to date. Prior to joining MCC Realty Group, Mr. Hogan had several years’ experience with start-up technology companies in the Bay Area.

Mr. Panfili joined MCC Realty Group in 2010. Prior to joining MCC, Mr. Panfili was with Cushman & Wakefield where he was a long-time trusted business partner of Mr. Collins.

Whiff Collins, Principal

With over 30 years of experience in East Bay real estate brokerage services, Whiff manages MCC’s activities in office and industrial leasing and sales, asset strategy, and consulting services.

Whiff was formerly executive director of Cushman & Wakefield of California’s Walnut Creek office. There he specialized in office and industrial sales and leasing. His career includes successful completion of many major commercial and industrial sales and lease transactions along the I-680 corridor and elsewhere in the East Bay over the past 16 years. In doing so, he earned “Top 100” Broker awards in 10 out of the last 13 years at Cushman. He was also designated as C&W’s Top Commercial Broker of the Western region, and was selected to receive the company’s Service Excellence award.

Before his involvement with Cushman & Wakefield, he was senior director for McMasters & Westland in Walnut Creek, where he was engaged in selling and leasing, tenant representation, and consulting services for commercial property owners and developers.

Whiff earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree from the University of California at Berkeley, and he is a licensed California Real Estate Broker.


Dan Moylan, Sales and Leasing

Dan Moylan has been part of the leasing and sales division at MCC Realty Group since June 2002. Dan has been a licensed California real estate broker for over twenty years and is experienced in both Landlord/ Tenant lease transactions as well as Seller/Buyer sales transactions. His background includes asset management responsibilities including underwriting acquisition and disposition of commercial real estate. He has also served as a Senior Property Manager responsible for the day to day operations of a 1,000,000 square foot portfolio of commercial, industrial and retail property. His responsibilities included portfolio budgeting, leasing, operations, construction and capital improvements. Dan is a 1981 graduate of St. Mary’s College of Moraga with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration/ Economics and has also completed several real estate courses offered by the Institute of Real Estate Management (IREM).


Tim Hogan, Sales and Leasing

Tim joined MCC Realty Group in 2003 and focuses primarily on the I-680 Corridor Office Market. Tim is actively involved with project leasing, tenant representation and is currently working on projects in excess of 550,000 square feet. Tim has been involved in over one hundred transactions to date and has developed a highly successful brokerage practice founded on the principles of integrity, hard work and commitment to client service. Prior to joining MCC Realty Group, Tim had several years experience starting technology companies in the Bay Area. Tim holds a history degree from USC and is a licensed California Real Estate Broker.
